grafted
grafted is a craft-led architecture practice founded by Lemma Redda and Nicole Fassihi.
Their debut project, Cast Corbel House, won a 2025 RIBA East Award and was longlisted for RIBA’s House of the Year. The judges noted the “superb” quality of design and the “stand out” precast concrete frieze, hand poured by the practice.
The studio has since used their background in fabrication to inform their subsequent projects, including in their recently completed penthouse, Apartment Arabescato. Their designs include bespoke maple joinery and a sapele freestanding desk, and their digital fabrication skills ensured every offcut of the project’s signature marble was put to good use.
