Founded in 2020 by Emma Bodie and Matthew Sanders, House Of EM is a London-based RIBA Chartered practice delivering bold, context-driven architecture and interiors across the UK and Europe. Emma and Matt bring over eight years of experience as Directors at the leading architecture and interior design studio, Michaelis Boyd. 

The studio works with a diverse palette of new and traditional materials to create buildings and spaces that balance confidence with sensitivity, while always responding to clients’ needs and the site. Every project is considered holistically, from the smallest interior detail to the overall external form to ensure a cohesive, functional and inspiring design.

Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, guiding clients with clarity, care, and building trust through open communication and a flexible approach. The result is architecture and interiors that are distinctive yet approachable, and always thoughtfully rooted in their context.

They specialise in the use of solid wood, delivering bespoke projects and aftercare to architects, interior designers, commercial brands, and private homeowners. Designing, making, and installing fine furniture and joinery, they deliver sustainable, long-lasting work using responsibly sourced materials.
