DEDRAFT are an architectural and interiors studio based Hackney, East London. We approach each project with a vision for imaginative yet functional design. Our strong focus is not only to design – but to build, bringing projects to fruition to address issues of the everyday, at every scale. This is highly dependent on the nature of the project, scale and budget however our service can be tailored to the unique needs of the project from feasibility to completion.

Our approach involves collaborations with other designers and consultants which we feel provide an enriched and stimulating design process as well as creating those timeless and responsive pieces of architecture. DEDRAFT have experience in many sectors including residential, both new-build and refurbishment, social housing, interiors, retail, wellness, commercial fit-out, and landscape/ garden design.

Over the past decade we have streamlined our process from design to handover to be able to deliver built projects ranging from £50k up to £8M.

Do+Co Studio is a Passivhaus-certified architecture studio based in Dulwich, South London. They are open-minded, open-hearted, and devoted to creating work that fosters happy lives and a promising future. Established in 2013 as Darren Oldfield Architects, they collaborate with homeowners, developers, and small businesses to create carefully crafted, sustainable buildings. Director Darren has been working with Passivhaus principles since 2008, when he contributed to the first certified Passivhaus non-domestic retrofit in the UK.

Do+Co Studio co-creates beautiful and intriguing buildings and spaces. They work with clients to design places full of personality that tell a story, induce joy, and lift spirits. Regardless of the project’s scale, their starting point is always light, volume, and space – a trinity of principles that leads to original responses centred on well-being and quality of life.

Established in 2009 by Ross and Emma Perkin, Emil Eve Architects have carved out a niche working with historic buildings, complex briefs and sensitive locations. Known for imaginative and contemporary design, the practice is always looking to develop project-specific methods of construction and craft to bring a unique response to every build.

The studio forms part of the Dalston Architecture Collective and has won a number of awards including a Wood Award 2021, an AJ Specification Award 2020 and the St Martin’s Church International Design Competition 2019.

This award-winning architecture and interior design practice was founded in 2015 by Demian Erbar and Holger Mattes, who met whilst working at David Chipperfield Architects – one of the UK’s most internationally renowned architecture firms. Based in London, Erbar Mattes combine clarity and simplicity through their use of light, material and form to create inspirational spaces for their clients.

Most recently, Erbar Mattes has been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards 2022 for Blockmakers Arms, and won ‘Best House’ and ‘Best Use of Materials’ awards for Harvey Road from the Haringey Design Awards 2018 and New London Architecture Don’t Move, Improve! 2017 respectively.

Found Associates is an architecture and interiors studio based in Soho, London. They have created work for a prestigious list of international clients, from private residences to global companies including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods and Selfridges. The practice is RIBA-award winning, and creates designs that are rooted in powerful simplicity, with attention to space, detail and quality of design. They have also developed an innovative collection of temporary shop fittings – Found Pop – which can be rented for easy assembly for pop-up stores.

With an impressive client list including names such as Anish Kapoor and Arup, Gianni Botsford Architects is a small and agile firm who are based in London but undertake the design and supervision of residential and commercial projects across the globe.

The practice works closely with clients to ensure their designs meet the client’s individual needs. They say “if an art gallery, the contents must be visible; if a house, the rooms must be liveable; if a whole village, it should be where people would want to live.”

Gianni Botsford Architects are skilled and experienced in using creative solutions to make the most of any site and maximise light and space whilst executing original and beautiful buildings. You might recognise some of their striking former projects such as the multi-award-winning ‘House in a Garden’ in Notting Hill with its sculptural timber roof.

Groves Natcheva Architects is a collaboration between Murray Groves and Adriana Natcheva, established in London in 2000. The studio offers services that encompass planning, architecture, interiors and furniture. The designs of the studio are site specific and focused on the individuality of each client. 

Gruff Architects have a clear vision – to provide quality and integrity, to create architectural experience far beyond functionality; to be brave and think differently. Established in 2010, the South-East London-based practice is run by Directors Rhys Cannon and Emily Burnett, who lead a close team of dedicated architects and designers.

The practice has developed a diverse portfolio, with a focus towards unique house extensions, refurbishments and one-off houses. Collaboration is key to every project as they seek to incorporate the clients’ personality, style and influences into the development of a strong narrative. Embracing space and light, uniqueness and individuality – Gruff Architects incorporates these alongside a high standard of design. The context of a build and surrounding landscape are also important influences, as are considerations of the project’s environmental impact.

Regularly recognised within the industry, their Little Donnyland extension and refurbishment project won a 2020 British Home Award for interior design, and another project, Pitched Black (Director Rhys’ new-build home) was shortlisted.

Honky is a multi-disciplinary, award winning architectural and interior design practice based in London. Founded in 2001 by Christopher Dezille (SBID, BIID), the Honky creative team provides a full design service, including interior architecture and schemes, finishes and styling. They have also worked with most of the UK’s leading housebuilders and developers, creating individual and innovative show homes.

This multi-award-winning architecture practice is based in Central London and is made up of a small, friendly team that put focus on places and the activities that occur in and around them. IBLA’s buildings are expertly crafted to meet the needs of their clients, whilst adapting seamlessly to existing contexts. Undeniably contemporary in style, the old and the new are brought together harmoniously, providing an aesthetic that balances respect for the past with a vision for the future.

IBLA’s portfolio includes housing projects, private homes, public spaces and work places. Their most recent awards include finalising for the 2019 AJ Retrofit Award (Dukes Avenue), and winning the Grand Design Self Build on a Shoestring Award in 2018.

London-based architectural firm Jonathan Tuckey Design has gained plaudits for its work with existing buildings and structures, creating thoughtful contemporary designs that layer new beautifully with old. This harmonious juxtaposition requires a sympathetic eye; a deep understanding and respect for the provenance of a building, as well as vision – something this architectural studio seems to have in spades, with projects ranging from slick international hotel makeovers to 400-year-old coastal cottage renovations.

For Jonathan Tuckey Design, this contextual underpinning of projects not only creates something beautiful and functional, it offers a sustainable solution to safeguarding heritage sites.

Founded in 2016 by Matt Loader and Iain Monteith, this Glasgow-based architectural practice put their focus on ‘meaningful design’, orientating their process around space, place and people. Loader Monteith take a collaborative approach, working with clients in an authentically personal way to ensure that a project’s full potential is reached.

The team of six find inspiration in Scotland’s wild landscapes, energetic cities and charming villages, wherever they may be working in the world. Sustainability is a paramount concern for this RIBA Chartered firm, and so restoration takes prominence where it can in every project; Loader Monteith is specialist conservation accredited.

Magri Williams is a design studio specialising in residential architecture, bespoke interiors and furniture design. The studio’s work is centered around finding a considered solution to clients’ briefs by taking the big idea and resolving it back to its simplest form, to a point where there is nothing more to add or to take away. They strive to find the delicate balance between craft, materials, functionality, sustainability, light and nature, whilst sensitively considering each detail to create a refined design.

McLaren.Excell are an award winning design-led architecture and interiors practice based in Central London. The practice is co-directed by Luke McLaren and Robert Excell, working primarily on private residential and commercial projects.

We love what we do and invest great energy in delivering projects which are beautifully conceived and finely crafted. We respond to our clients’ needs by designing projects in a very intimate and hands-on way, collaborating with people that we know and trust.

Established in 2010, the practice has taken on a diverse range of work in a short time, steadily building a reputation for producing buildings which have a calm authority and finely nuanced sense of place. Our studio has become a place of continual investigation into how we can develop our original ideas into a built reality and this process is driven by our genuine passion for good design.

Established in 2017 by Michael Collins and Anna Milroy, Hertfordshire-based architecture and design practice, Michael Collins Architects, is particularly interested in exploring how the specific qualities of rural and urban environments can generate new forms of architecture. The practice places emphasis on the inventive use of building materials, the qualities of light and the relationship between building and landscape. Michael Collins has a RIAS accreditation in Sustainable Architecture, and the studio combines practice with teaching and research on sustainable urban planning and construction systems, funded through the University of Cambridge.

The practice’s work has attracted a number of awards; a RIBA East award in 2019, HAA Award in 2020, and the New London Architecture Award. Their work has also gained recognition in the press, being featured in Dezeen and ArchDaily.
